MacLeod Park Seasonal Campsite Program

Ontario Parks has recently informed the Municipality of Greenstone and our MacLeod Park operator, Geraldton Community Forest, that changes have been made to the Seasonal Campsite Program at MacLeod Park.

Poplar Lodge Park

Located on Highway 580 just East of the Community of Beardmore, this municipal park offers visitors 125 campsites, 45 of which offer electrical and water hook-ups. A wealth of recreational opportunities await you including hiking, boating, fishing and swimming from the long sandy beach.  Poplar Lodge Park boasts some of the most stunning scenery the Greenstone region has to offer. Just 5 kilometers from the Park is High Hill Harbour, a docking and service station for commercial and pleasure crafts including fueling and pump out facilities.

Riverview Campground 

Located in the community of Longlac, this convenient campground has 14 sites available, 7 with full hook-up (water, electricity and sewer), and 7 with electricity only. It offers access to washroom and shower facilities, a boat launch, a kayak dock, a hiking trail, a park for children, and dumping services. The campground opens the long weekend in May and closes the long weekend in September. 

The Riverview Campground is operated by a third party.  An operator is to be determined for the 2021 Season.

MacLeod Provincial Park

MacLeod Provincial Park is located 2 miles east of the junction of Hwy 11 and Hwy 584, (the turnoff to the community of Geraldton). The Park has 120 campsites of which 28 have electrical service and a group camping area on the shores of Kenogamisis Lake. The park has two comfort stations, a boat launch, vault toilets, a playground for children, trailer dumping and a fish cleaning station. Please note that campsites are available on first come, first served basis. For more information contact the Gate House by calling (807) 854-0370 Wednesday to Sunday from 1 pm to 9 pm during the operating season.

Cordingley Lake Campground

Located 3 miles north of Nakina on Cordingley Lake, this lovely campground has 7 sites with electrical service, and approximately 16 other open sites for camper trailers. Some tent sites can be utilized in the wooded areas. A change room/washroom facility is located next to the campground. A 300’ sandy beach is also adjacent to the campground, with a newly-constructed boat launch near-by within a few minutes walk.
