Greenstone Public Library

The Greenstone Public Library mission is to provide a collection of literature in different formats, to offer information, activities and programs and to contribute to the quality of life in Greenstone.  Through an exciting and dynamic array of services and programs, the Greenstone Public Library enhances the quality of life of many residents of the community. The library is vital for both attracting new residents and retaining current residents.

The Library is run by a volunteer Board of 6 people appointed by the Council of the Municipality of Greenstone.  The current Chief Executive Officer is Mari Mannisto.  Her office is located in the Geraldton Branch.

We provide collections of books, magazines and movies for all ages.  We have public computers in all branches that provide free internet access for our patrons.  We offer a variety of programs for both children and adults.  Both the Longlac and the Geraldton Branches have public meeting rooms available for use as well.  The library is the cultural centre for the Municipality of Greenstone and is an essential hub of information and activity for everyone.  The Library collection, on-line resources and contact information can be accessed through the website at Greenstone Library.
